About the Publisher
The Amergin Press was founded in the summer of 1998 by Brian Lieske. He moved it into the amergin.net domain early in 2000.
Brian was born in Baltimore in 1964 and grew up in Towson, a suburb north of Baltimore city. He received his bachelor's degree in acting from Towson State University in 1986. He immediately went on to graduate study at the University of Texas at Austin. He completed his Master of Fine Arts in creative drama and theater for youth in 1989.
After a year teaching theater in Midland, Texas he returned to Austin for a year before moving to San Francisco. Since arriving in Bay Area in 1991 he has worked as the Registrar and Financial Aid Director for the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.
In the fall of 1998, he founded the Creative Drama and Youth Theatre WebRing (of which Amergin Press is a founding member).
He currently lives in San Francisco with Michael, his life partner.
